Oregon Convention Center/Portland Expo Center Ticketing Services

 

MERC is soliciting statements of qualifications from qualified firms to provide Ticketing Services for the Oregon Convention Center and the Portland Expo Center.  The firm(s) shall be granted the non-exclusive right to conduct automated ticket sales for MERC facility events at their outlets, including telephone, internet and kiosk sales.

Oregon Convention Center - Lighting Fixture Upgrade Project

Addendum No 1

 

July 19, 2010

 MERC has issued an addendum to the Request for Proposals for the “OCC – Lighting Fixture Upgrade Project”.

The purpose of this addendum is to supply clarification regarding installation of DelRay fixtures to be used in this project.

 

As per DelRay manufacturer’s installation instructions (Attachment A), no drywall removal or repair is expected

 Should damage occur during replacement, Contractor will be required to repair drywall to pre-construction condition (includes painting).

Oregon Convention Center - Lighting Fixture Upgrade Project

Request for Bids

The Metropolitan Exposition-Recreation Commission (MERC) is soliciting sealed bids for the  Lighting Fixture Upgrade Project at the Oregon Convention Center (OCC), located at 777 NE MLK Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232.

Sealed Bids for the OCC – Lighting Fixture Upgrade Project, must be delivered to MERC – Attn: Heather Peck, Metro Regional Center, 600 NE Grand Ave, Portland, OR 97232-2736, no later than 2:00 PM Pacific Time, July 23, 2010.  At that time, the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at the Metro Regional Center.  Formal bids may not be submitted by facsimile (fax) transmittal.

The Work contemplated consists of all equipment, materials and labor, for removal and replacement of a number of various lighting fixtures, lighting and lamps throughout the Oregon Convention Center facility as further specified in the Scope of Work.  Contractor is to supply and install replacement fixtures as specified; no exceptions, without written Owner approval.  All installations must comply with manufacturer’s specifications and warranty implications.  New lamps must be provided for each new fixture.  Each lamp must meet the fixture manufacturer’s specifications. Contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of existing fixtures in accordance with the EPA guidelines.  (More information regarding EPA guidelines can be found at http://www.deq.state.or.us/lq/hw/UW.htm.)  Contractor is responsible for all necessary reporting of recycling/waste disposal. Work will be in accordance with the construction documents and technical specifications contained in the Request for Bids Documents.  The design intent of this project is to purchase and install all fixtures as specified in the Request for Bids Documents.  The location of the work will be at the Oregon Convention Center.

By signing and submitting a Bid for this Public Works project, the Bidder certifies that it will comply with ORS 279.350, and Federal Davis Bacon Wage laws requiring payment of prevailing wage rates and filing of a Public Works Bond.  Bidders must also use recyclable products to the maximum extent economically feasible in the performance of the contract work and be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractor’s Board pursuant to ORS 701.035-90.  Each Bid must contain a statement as to whether the Bidder is a resident Bidder, as defined in ORS 279.029.  Bidders must also comply with MERC/Metro’s Minority Business Enterprise, Women-Owned Business Enterprise, Emerging Small Business and FOTA Program, and MERC’s contract requirements.

RFP 10-01, OCC Self Service Business Center

OCC is requesting proposals for the operation of the Self-Service Business Center housed within the Convention Center.

The 7’ x 18’ space (approx) is located just inside the front door on the third floor.   It will be of use mainly to building patrons.  Photos of the space are included as Attachment A.

It is the OCC’s intent to accept proposals from financially qualified individuals or firms.  The contract will be awarded to the most responsible bidder who presents a proposal that exhibits the best overall financial benefit to the Convention Center with emphasis on references, financial resources, and experience. All determinations shall be at the sole discretion of OCC.

 

Proposals are due no later than 4:00 July 30, 2010.
