Professional Experience: Oregon native Janice Jacobsen Marquis has more than thirty years experience in the real estate industry and expertise in local commercial real estate development and management. Janice's real estate management portfolio includes construction, development, hazard abatement, and leasing and management of commercial and historic office buildings in Portland.

Janice recently served as the property manager for the 200 Market Building, where she directed building management and leasing of 380,000 sq. ft. of office and retail space. She has managed significant commercial and historic properties in the region that include development, management and leasing of the Pacwest Center Building; consulting and marketing plan development for the McCormick Pier Waterfront Apartments; and management of the historic Dielschneider, Fechheimer, Freiman Kitchen and Freiman Restaurant buildings.

Janice brings extensive knowledge of local real estate and understanding of Portland’s unique development plans and guidelines to her service as a Commissioner.
