Professional Experience: Native Portlander Gary Reynolds has more than 30 years experience in public accounting. He is president and founding shareholder of Perkins & Company, Portland’s largest locally based accounting firm established in 1986. Gary specializes in auditing and tax planning services for a variety of large, closely held businesses throughout the West Coast. Gary also provides business consulting for mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, employee stock ownership plans, banking relationships and loan agreements, and general financial management issues.
He brings a valuable blend of business expertise and extensive accounting and fiscal management knowledge to the MERC Board. Complementing his strong business background, Gary views his commissioner role as an opportunity to give back to the community. Gary is an avid supporter of the arts, a primary element of MERC’s mission. Complimenting his commitment to arts, Gary looks to play a pivotal role in the planned growth and redevelopment of the Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and the Lloyd District areas in Portland.
